Ministry distributes free audio Bibles

A volunteer program to distribute free audio Bibles is removing the excuse of many believers who say they "don't have time" to read the Good Book. Research groups found that 65 percent of adults who identified themselves as Bible readers haven't read the entire New Testament, while a survey of 500 pastors revealed that "lack of time" was the top reason why Christians aren't reading their Bibles.

Troy Carl, national director for the audio Bible ministry Faith Comes By Hearing, said "Audio Bibles provide an innovative way for people to incorporate the Word of God into their daily lives." Pastors report people are now listening to the Bible throughout the day while getting ready for work, during daily commutes, while exercising or during other routine activities.

More than 40,000 Audio Bibles were distributed as part of You've Got The Time Albuquerque, a volunteer Bible listening campaign which is being coordinated by Faith Comes By Hearing. In fact, since this campaign's mid-December launch, more than 37,000 Audio Bibles have been given out to Albuquerque churches, while thousands more have been downloaded from the ministry website, www.FaithComesByHearing.com.
