Like it or not television and movies have become a staple for how our children learn to express themselves, make moral choices and expand their consciousness. Over the years The Disney Channel has tapped into this powerful medium using original television movies to merge together character building drama, progressive choreography and extraordinary music. This combination is the perfect recipe to engage our children, connect them with friends and open up dialogues about important life issues. Disney has become the voice of our children’s generation.

Camp Rock Disney Channel’s newest original movie is about a talented yet unsure teen who yearns to share her songs with the world, and a tempestuous young superstar who's lost his passion for music.

Together they learn to believe in themselves and to value the freedom to be who they really want to be. Starring the enormously popular Jonas Brothers and a cast of other Disney Channel stars, this movie will surely be the highlight of every child and tween this summer.

This movie is meant to be shared. Camp Rock star, Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers says, “I think it's just a really good family film. I think this will actually be a big movie for friends to sit around and just grab a little popcorn and chill out. That's what we like to do, and just watch it together.

Have a party, invite your children’s friends over to watch and then lead a discussion on following your dreams, believing in yourself and being authentic in the choices you make.

Then, later on in the week. as a family keep the dialogue going and use examples from the movie to help your children discover their own extraordinary potential. For more information on Camp Rock go to www.disneychannel.com.
