How do you know when you have too much stuff? What should you do about it?

We've given over our ability to be discerning spiritually to a priestly class we've created. Top-down theology and church practice does not exhibit evidence of the Holy Spirit's leading.

How often do I just wonder why people can't 'get over it,' rather than being there to support them?

It's impressive when people who can demand the spotlight choose to share it. How do we learn to accept other people's gifts and talents as blessings instead of seeing ourselves as failures?

If no one feels they have the power for making the legislation they want, are we all disenfranchised? Or does it just mean we have to find another way than through government to implement our ideas of justice and compassion?
